What Is Racism?
A simple question or is it?
A simple question does not always generate a simple answer. Only a few years ago, people struggled to answer ‘What Is A Woman?’
We watched politicians, celebrities, and academics try to answer the question using wordplay, confrontation, and lies. It was funny. But it was also scary as we watched ideology and authoritarianism overcome common sense and reality.
This is exactly what happens when we discuss the word Racism. It means whatever you want it to mean for it is enclosed within a fog of ideology that obscures the truth and distorts reality.
A quick look online tells me nothing about the definition of Racism:
- discrimination and prejudice against people based on their race or ethnicity (Wikipedia)
- someone who treats another person differently (BBC)
- a belief that humans may be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called 'races' (Britannica)
- saying 'I don't see colour' (NSPCC)
The trendy woke definition is Prejudice Plus Power. This means that black people cannot be racist because they are perceived to have no power – so therefore, only white people can be racist. This is a convenient definition for the race-baiters!
The word is meaningless. But it has an alternative use as a social justice hammer to beat white people into submission – it’s been swinging away for seventy years.
