Free Palestine – we have heard it all before
I am not going to discuss this Middle Eastern conflict, its history or solutions. It is far too complicated. It would require intellect and knowledge – unfortunately, I am lacking in both.
It is a foreign war, in a foreign country, on a faraway continent between two different religions fighting over land. War, death and destruction is a human trait we have always embraced – if only we could stop.
The first thing I noticed about the recent Free Palestine marches in UK cities was the similarity to the BLM marches three years ago. Same shit, different day. If we swapped the brown faces for black ones then we would think we had travelled back in time to June 2020. We could witness the lunacy again around the death of a career criminal being arrested by foreign police officers, in a foreign country, on a very far away continent.
Allow me to ask the same question today as I asked three years ago. What does any of this have to do with me or the UK? I know the answer. Absolutely nothing. So why do we have people marching on the streets and criticising my country again?
We have two types of people marching: Muslims and non-Muslims. I automatically understand why Muslims may be marching, but the middle-class white folk standing next to them need a little more exploring to uncover their reasons.
Let me start with the easy option to explore first. Muslims are marching because other Muslims are dying. This makes sense as the obvious reason - but it is completely wrong. Muslims are being persecuted and killed in many countries across the world – this never stops. What do British Muslims say about this? Virtually nothing in some cases, and actually nothing in others. There seems to be an unwritten rule that states it is not really a problem if Muslims kill other Muslims. A little hypocritical to me. But if a non-Muslim kills a Muslim then the wrath of Allah must be unleashed. Unless it is China, then nearly every Muslim keeps their mouth tightly shut.
The same people marching for George Floyd are now marching for a Free Palestine. Why? They wish to force a revolution to overthrow democracy, capitalism and the Western way of life. They class themselves as communists, anarchists, feminists, queers, anti-racists and anti-colonists. Not one of these individuals has ever marched to protest the gang rape of tens of thousands of working-class girls across the country. Wrong type of oppressed and wrong type of oppressor.
These marches are not spontaneous but organised by foreign powers to damage the UK and reduce our influence on the world stage. Have you wondered where all the Palestinian flags have come from and who paid for them? What about all the professionally produced signs and placards? Free transport is being advertised to take people to the marches in London. Just like the BLM marches, shadowy figures are waiting in the wings to take advantage of any external event to further their cause.
There is nothing new in this type of covert attack on our country. I am sure we are doing exactly the same in other countries right now – we have definitely done these things in the past. Combating foreign powers is nothing new, it is expected and eternal.
What shocks and upsets me are the levels of anti-British sentiment displayed on our streets. A very small number of these individuals will be foreign nationals and even foreign paid agents, but the vast majority are British citizens. Some will have ancestral roots in Britain for millennia, and others will be second or third-generation immigrants – none of this is acceptable and is very worrying.
How have we created such hatred towards our country by the very people who benefit the most from it? We have messed up big time. The sooner we realise this the better, for it means we can start the long hard work required to fix it.
We need to stop immigration today. No more migration until we have solved our integration problems – no marriage visa, no asylum claims, no refugees, no family reunions, no small boats. We then need to deport all foreign-born criminals back to their homeland – no need to complete their sentence. We also expel any foreign national who we feel is not an appropriate guest in our country – hate preachers, suspected foreign agents, agitators, and anyone who expresses non-British values.
This will stop the problem from growing, but will not fix it by itself. A massive drive to promote patriotism must begin in our schools, such as flying the Union Jack, singing God Save The King, and celebrating all English special days.
Every tax-funded building should fly our country's flag and have a portrait of the King on display. National holidays should be themed so we celebrate historical events and achievements. We should ban the flying of all foreign flags, except at Embassies. Civil servants should be banned from displaying any representation of a foreign flag whilst at work – this means rings, badges, pins, mugs etc.
If we do not come together as one people, in one country, then violence will be forced upon us as we continue to divide into groups – the history of mankind is tribal warfare. Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Our state education may be poor, but this is a lesson we cannot afford to miss.
We are an amazing people living in an amazing country. We are the only country in the world that has the word GREAT in its name – it is there for a reason. Our ancestors ruled the largest empire the world has ever known. We started the industrial revolution and created the modern world. And as a gift to our fellow man, we gave them our sports and language.
We are truly remarkable. The only thing that can defeat us is ourselves. This is why we must stop with the negativity and defeatism. I hear too many people writing us off as a dying nation. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are living through a blip in time, but it is only a blip.
In a few days, we have Remembrance Sunday, a time when we remember those who gave their lives so we could be free. We need to be more like these lost heroes of yesterday, not the pathetic quislings we see chanting on our streets.
If you do not do your bit as a patriot, then someone else has to do twice as much. Cowardice is not a British trait, let us not make it one.
